In recognition of the ongoing and relentless pressure to build stadiums for private profit with public funds, the purpose of Taxpayers United for Rational Football Funding (TURFF) is: ~ to inform taxpayers about the undemocratic push to build a new publicly financed stadium for the Minnesota Vikings ; ~ to convince the public to oppose the diversion of taxpayer funds to benefit a private sports business; ~ to provide the encouragement and means for voters to be involved in the political process.
